The Best Buy has put its retail division on lockdown after a report that some customers were purchasing counterfeit shoes and shoes accessories online.
In a statement to Fox News, a Walmart spokesperson said the retailer is conducting a thorough review of its website and marketplace and that it is notifying customers of any potential risks.
The retailer also said it is working with the Federal Trade Commission and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on the issue.
Walmart is currently investigating reports of counterfeit footwear and accessories.
In August, the retailer recalled more than 1.6 million pairs of shoes and boots.
